it used to drive me insane how kitsch Impressionism has become, but my favorite professor began the survey course I'm taking on it now by discussing how and why it's become that way. Our class of 20~ students have taken it upon ourselves to educated every single person we meet that displays some kind of kitsch-ified Impressionist something. It's been quite entertaining, at least for us :D
