I adore the Impressionists. I understand lack of interest in them if it’s only studied in a technical level (most of it, anyways). It’s charm and importance mostly lies in the artists involved, their ideology and perseverance to create something different in a very strict, institutionalized art scene. Without them everything that came after them would have taken quite a while time to happen. Their the first to break the molds of art(as a movement) for the following generations of artist.
